Community Consultation
The project team will use a variety of methods for disseminating information to the local community including this web site, posters at railway stations, and advertisements in local papers. One of the most important means is through locally based Community Liaison Groups (CLGs). Four groups have been established, one for each of the local government areas traversed by the SSFL - Bankstown, Fairfield, Liverpool and Campbelltown, due to numbers the Liverpool and Campbelltown CLG has been combined. The CLGs will bring together local residents and business owners with Council and Project representatives. The aim of the CLGs is to ensure that the local community have access to the project team in a two-way dialogue to ensure there are no surprises for the Community and that impacts from the Project are controlled and minimised.
